Meet Dr. Tamura

Dr Claude N Tamura is born and raised in Hawaii and grew up in Pearl City.  He is a true "Local Boy" that believes in the Aloha spirit, ohana (family), and the golden rule.  Dr Tamura graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute.  He then attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Dr Tamura then enrolled at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1992.  He is also a graduate of Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Studies (LVI).

Whenever the opportunity arises, Dr Tamura will enroll in continuing educations courses ranging from cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, TMJ disorders, and all other phases of general dentistry.  He is always striving to improve in all aspects of dentistry which include the materials he uses, techniques, and technology.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Tamura enjoys sharing a good laugh and many smiles with family and friends.  He is an avid outdoors man, which include hunting, spear fishing, free diving, and exploring the neighbor islands.  One of Dr Tamura's favorite passions is to explore Oahu with his son & companion Roscoe (pet dog), looking for that "One" great food joint to eat at.  It's hard to beat a great steak, but I'm willing to try.  Dr Tamura also enjoys whipping up his very own cooking and barbequing creations to enjoy and share.

Dr Tamura is proud to have served patients from all over Hawaii for over 15 years.  He is currently located conveniently in Aiea, and has been there since May of 2003.  Some of the memberships and recognitions of Dr Tamura's are:

Our Staff

De Ann graduated from Moanalua High School.  She has been a part of the Island Dental Group family and team since July of 2003.  She enjoys team sports.  Volleyball is her favorite.  Recently, De Ann participated in the Haili Volleyball Tournament.  She is also a participant in the Aloha Festivals Floral Parade.  "Best of all, I love spending time with my family and friends."

Roni Cayetano is born and raised in Hawaii and grew up in both Nanakuli and Aiea.  She is a graduate of Pearl City High School.  Some of her hobbies include hanging out with family and friends, movies, and just plain old getting into mischief.  Roni started working with Dr Tamura in 2005.  She started off doing both assisting Dr Tamura and front office work along side her partner in crime De Ann.  Roni has had the pleasure of accompanying Dr Tamura to LVI for continuing education courses in full mouth reconstruction, as well as, a patient acceptance course in Seattle, Washington.  Currently, Roni is mainly in the front office and will be the one whom you'll speak with when you call for an appointment.
